Ode to Bella

Here's some great pictures of my 2 year old Boxer, Labrador Retriever mix, Bella! Lance and I rescued her from the Macon County Humane Society in Alabama about a year and a half ago. Here's crazy Baby Bella!

Wedding Invitation Leader!

Here's the wedding invitation that is in the lead from zazzle.com. It's pretty much everything that I wanted in an invitation, a little damask, blue and monogram. I couldn't ask for anything else.

The Front

The Back

The only thing I'm going to see if I can change is to make the blue a little brighter or darker. Probably more of a royal or horizon blue. The reception cards, programs, etc. will match this style.

I was researching wedding items online and stumbled on to these really cool Save the Dates from koyalwholesale.com. Look, Lance and I could be cartoon characters. Too cool!

Our Wedding Reception Venue - BOOKED!

Last weekend, my parents came down from Michigan and checked out all of the venues on my short list while Lance and I were at work. It was very helpful because Lance and I have been really busy at work. TODAY, Lance, Kim (Lance's Mom) and I just went to the Old Hickory County Club to check it out. And...Lance and I just booked our reception venue and gave them the deposit. Thank God that was easy!! They have beautiful grounds and the hall has an old southern feel. Here are the pictures.

Here's the front

The Ballroom - Head Table

The Ballroom!

It's a beautiful, old southern space that Lance and I can make our own. The place comes with a white or black table cloth and napkin options. We will probably go with white and then get damask white and black runners across each table. Then I will have to research and put together great budget friendly center pieces. More to come on reception decor.

Personalizing Our Wedding

I definitely want to incorporate personal touches within our wedding and here are some great ideas that I've come across.

I love pictures and our initials, so lets put them together. The black and silver letters would go great with our color scheme.

I'm not sure I love this exact cake topper, but I definitely want a F on the top of our cake.

2 inch x 2 inch magnets from zazzle.com
I just found zazzle.com and I will probably use them for my invitations. I love these little magnets that I customized with our color scheme and names.

Lance is Jewish, so we will be incorporating some Jewish Wedding touches like these glass stomping. I found out it's actually a light bulb these days. We will be incorporating some more Jewish touches, but not sure what yet. Maybe I'll walk around Lance eight times or something else still TBD.

At the reception we will participate in this cool Jewish tradition. I just hope they don't drop us! :)

So You Think You Can Dance Favorites!

I LOVE SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE! I've been watching it since it began 7 seasons ago. Here are my favorites thus far for season 7.

Favorite Boy Dancer - KENT BOYD

Favorite Girl Dancer - LAUREN FRODERMAN

Honorable Mention Dancer - ROBERT ROLDAN

Favorite All-Star Girl Dancer - KATHRYN McCORMICK

She was my favorite from season 6 and I'm so happy that she's back! She was fantastic in the Bollywood performance Wednesday night.

Favorite All-Star Boy Dancer - PASHA KOVALEV

Favorite Judge of ALL Seasons - ADAM SHANKMAN

Favorite Choreographer - WADE ROBSON

This season, I feel like all of the dancers are already better than last years dancers (except Jacob and Kathryn of course) and the season has just began. It probably has to do with choosing fewer dancers (only 11 instead of 20), and they are dancing and learning these routines with experienced dancers. Is anyone else loving So You Think You Can Dance like me? Who are your favorites?

Enjoyed the CMA Fest w/ Nettie!

My good friend and college roommate, Annette, came down from Michigan to visit and we went to the CMA Music Fest on Saturday, June 12th, 2010. The concert was in LP Field where the Tennessee Titans play football. Can't wait to go to some games! Here's some pictures during the day before the concert.

Me and Nettie @ Coyote Ugly

Here's my Roxy Maxi Dress that I bought last summer with my friend Erin. It's my absolute favorite!!

Me and Nettie w/ Elvis

Josh and Nettie w/ Cowboy Boot

The country music acts were great and there were no bad seats in LP Field. Here are pictures of the concerts, and Annette and I.

The walk to LP Field from all of the CMA Fest Festivities on Broadway. Man was it a hot one!

Over the bridge to LP Field. Here's a picture of Broadway and 1st Avenue.

The Cumberland River and Nashville's Bridge. I love this bridge and my picture it's bad either!

The flyover! It flew over us twice because once just wasn't cutting it at the CMA Fest on Saturday.

Say Cheese! Here's Nettie and I enjoying the hot, sticky summer evening while we waited for the acts to begin.

More of Rascal Flatts

The CMA Fest was awesome and I loved all of the acts, I just wish Jamie O'Neal would have sang some of her songs because she only sang the National Anthem. I also wanted the Zac Brown Band and Rascal Flatts to sing more songs! The Zac Brown Band and Rascal Flatts only sang 3 songs each. I was a little disappointed, but all of the proceeds went to the Nashville Flood Relief so I guess I can't complain too much! :)

Loving Benches and Chairs

Below are some benches and chairs that I found on Esty.com. I have furniture fever as it gets closer to December when Lance and I will be buying our first house in Hermitage, TN.

These three benches would look really nice in the foyer of our new house. Hopefully, we will get a foyer in our new house!

Here's a cute pale blue ottoman. I love the tradition look of this ottoman, it's almost Victorian looking with the bow and lace detail.

Here are two really cute living room ascent chairs. The top one is more formal and this bottom one is my absolute favorite. It reminds me of a Sarah Richardson chair from her HGTV show "Sarah's House."

These three dinning room head table chairs are very cute. The first one with the floral print is my favorite.
